Terms and Conditions for Shifted

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Shifted platform, accessible via www.shiftedapp.co.uk and the Shifted mobile application (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.​

2. Definitions

  • "Shifted" refers to Shifted Ltd, a company registered in Scotland, United Kingdom.

  • "User" refers to any individual or entity using the Platform, including both Workers and Venues.

  • "Worker" refers to individuals seeking temporary work opportunities through the Platform.

  • "Venue" refers to businesses seeking to hire Workers for temporary shifts.​

3. Eligibility

To use the Platform, you must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. Workers must have the right to work in the United Kingdom.​

4. Account Registration

Users must register for an account to access certain features of the Platform. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep this information up to date.​

5. Services

5.1 For Venues:

Shifted provides Venues with access to a pool of vetted Workers for temporary shifts. Venues can post shift details, including date, time, location, required skills, and pay rate.​

5.2 For Workers:

Shifted allows Workers to browse and accept available shifts posted by Venues. Workers can manage their schedules and receive payments for completed shifts.​

6. Payments

6.1 Payment Processing:

Shifted facilitates payments from Venues to Workers for completed shifts. Payments are processed through third-party payment providers.​

6.2 Payment Terms:

Workers will receive payment within 24 hours of shift completion, subject to verification and processing times. Venues are responsible for ensuring sufficient funds are available for payment.​

7. Cancellations

7.1 Venue Cancellations:

Venues may cancel a shift without penalty if done within a specified cancellation window prior to the shift start time. Cancellations outside this window may incur fees.​

7.2 Worker Cancellations:

Workers are expected to honor accepted shifts. Repeated cancellations or no-shows may result in account suspension or termination.​

8. Conduct and Responsibilities

8.1 Workers:

Workers agree to perform their duties professionally and in accordance with the Venue's reasonable instructions.​

8.2 Venues:

Venues agree to provide a safe working environment and to comply with all applicable employment laws and regulations.​

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Shifted or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.​

10. Limitation of Liability

Shifted is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Shifted's total liability to you for any claims arising from the Platform is limited to the amount paid by you to Shifted in the past six months.​

11. Termination

Shifted reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at its sole discretion.​

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland, United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Scotland.​Pioneering the short shift
